The Mayor, The Honorable Dave Clews, is the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Pottsville, and Director of the Department of Public Affairs. The Department of Public Affairs includes the Mayor's Office, Bureau of Police, and Zoning and Code Enforcement Office, and Health Office.

The Office of the Mayor is located on the third floor of City Hall and is staffed by the Mayor's secretary, Rebecca Trefsger.
